Enjoy three full days of fishing.
All five species of Pacific salmon can be found at Langara Island. The star attractions here are Chinook salmon, ranging from 12 to 70+ pounds, and Coho salmon, from 7 to 20+ pounds.
Chum, Sockeye and Pink salmon also pass through our waters, and even the occasional Steelhead. At certain times of the season it is not uncommon to catch 3 or 4 different salmon species in one day.

Langara Island Lodge
Luxurious Adventure
Langara Island Lodge is situated high on a scenic bluff atop our namesake island, surrounded by Haida Gwaii’s ancient rainforest and abundant waters.
From the docks below, you’ll rise through the forest in a unique funicular tram to arrive at the lodge, often under the watchful eye of a Bald Eagle or Raven sitting in a nearby tree.
The grandeur of Lodge is as breathtaking as the island upon which it was built. Roaring fireplaces, relaxing hot-tubs, soothing spa treatments, and gourmet meals await you after a day of fishing and exploring the wonders of Langara Island.
Langara Island lies atop the Haida Gwaii archipelago —
900 km (550 miles) north of Vancouver, British Columbia,
and just 30 nautical miles south of Alaska.

FAQ
Know your flight times
Our check-in will start at 8:30 am on August 25th at the South Terminal Airport and we should be on our way to the lodge by 9:45 am. We will hand out fishing licences and flight passes at check-in.
On August 17th we plan to arrive back into the South Terminal by 4:30 pm.
Delays due to weather can occur; to ensure a successful transfer home, we recommend booking return flights at least 4 hours after our anticipated return time, or the following day. We have secured rooms at Fairmont YVR for everyone; please share your travel details with us so we can coordinate with the hotel accordingly.
Fishing licence
We'll look after this one. Just fill out your Guest Info Form, and your Fishing Licence will be prepared for your and ready at Langara when you arrive.
What should I pack?
Each guest will be fitted with a comfortable, waterproof, 2-piece Mustang Cruiser Suit and rubber boots. Weather conditions can vary significantly from day to day, or even morning to afternoon (temperatures typically 10-20 C, 50-70 F), so we advise guests to bring clothing that can be worn in layers underneath the Mustang suit (thick socks, long underwear or sweatpants, long sleeve shirts, gloves and a hat that covers your ears). Cotton sweatshirts or hoodies are not recommended in wet weather, so try to bring wool or fleece alternatives. Also, do not forget to bring a bathing suit for the hot-tubs and sauna. The dress while in the lodge is casual.
Due to restricted cargo space, please limit individual luggage to 30 pounds. Soft-sided bags are strongly preferred for both checked and carry-on luggage. Please keep all medication with you when travelling—do not pack these items in your checked luggage.

I require early check in / late check out - how can this be arranged?
Please communicate your flight details to either your agent or us at Fluxwerx. We will ensure your room is ready for arrival / available until departure.
What is the cell and wifi situation at the lodge?
Wireless internet and phone service is available free-of-charge while inside the lodge. Please keep in mind that there is no cell service at Langara Island. To contact a guest at the lodge the direct number is 604-677-9477.
